Emma Burke
Emma has devoted her life to understanding and strengthening the bond between dogs and their people. Her passion for working with animals began at a young age, when she started her own pet-sitting and dog-walking business in her neighborhood as a child. That early experience laid the foundation for what has become a lifelong career in canine behavior and training. With over 12 years of professional experience, Emma brings a thoughtful, science-based approach to every interaction.
She combines her academic background in Psychology from Kennesaw State University with specialized training and certifications to support both canine and human clients with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
As Atlanta Dog Trainer’s General Manager, Emma thoughtfully tailors each boarding, daycare and training program to fit the unique personality and needs of every dog and family she works with. She believes that every dog has something to teach us, and she continually refines her skills through ongoing education and real-world experience.
Emma’s true passions lie in puppy development, scent work, and working with fear-based behaviors. She takes particular joy in helping puppies build strong foundations for life and empowering dogs and owners alike to overcome anxiety, uncertainty, and stress through positive, confidence-building strategies. Her empathy, patience, and expert guidance help families create calm, cooperative, and joyful relationships with their dogs.
Outside of training, Emma lives in Roswell with her husband, two children, and three beloved dogs: a German Shepherd mix, a doodle/terrier mix, and an English Bull Terrier. She and her family are especially passionate about Bull Terriers, an often-misunderstood breed, and Emma works closely with the Bull Terrier Rescue Mission to help these wonderful dogs find loving forever homes.
