She is certified by the state of Georgia as a Certified Professional Canine Behavior and Training Master Instructor. Jenna’s training includes teaching dog dock diving classes, preforming evaluations for multiple rescue organizations, rehabilitating difficult dogs with hard to deal with behavioral Issues.  She is also an instructor in our Boarding and Training programs.  Her experience also includes,  but is not limited to, teaching private lessons, puppy classes, and basic obedience classes. Jenna is certified in aggression management as well. She instructs the agility classes, basic nose work, and works as an instructor in our reactivity management courses.

Jenna was born and raised in East Cobb with two dog loving parents and an older brother. They owned two red huskies and a shepherd/ malamute mix as well as a Blue Russian cat. Not only did they have those pets in their house but also rescued other husky and German shepherds as a hobby; she is no stranger to fur!

Once she graduated from Blessed Trinity Catholic High School, she went down to St. Augustine to attend Flagler College. She studied Sociology as well as International Studies and Religion. Within one of her sociology classes, an organization called K9s for Warriors visited and talked about their methodology. This intrigued her so much so that she wrote her last paper on using dogs as a therapy tool for not only war veterans with PTSD and traumatic brain injury, but also use them for children with mental and/or physical disabilities.

After she graduated college, she set on finding a job and stumbled upon Atlanta Dog Trainer. Jenna Petrakos has worked here ever since, in boarding, daycare, office management, and training. Jenna owns a female German Shepherd who was rescued shortly after she attained this job. She is excited to keep furthering her training skills with each new dog and owner that come her way!
